Tapenade d’olives vertes

I loooove tapenade, it’s a french olive spread made originally with black olives. I made a big jar of it at the beginning of the week to snack on it or to serve as an appetizers. It is so easy and budget friendly, I really think it is a must-do if you like olives!

You can take it with you everywhere if you put in a sealable jar : picnic, in the car for road trips…etc. It is the most delicious savory snack (in my top 3 is also hummus), pack some bread or bread sticks to dip and you’re good to go. My daughter don’t really like the traditional black olives tapenade but she loved this one!

I mean, you put everything in the blender and it’s done. If you have last minute guests, it is ideal. Mix and serve, that is what I’m here for!

Green olives spread (serves 3-4) :

  • 150g green olives
  • 5 anchovies
  • 1 big clove of garlic
  • 12-15 small capers
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Put all the ingredients in the bowl of the blender or food processor. Mix until you get a smooth but thick paste.

Keep in the fridge until ready to serve.

Serve with grilled bread.

Keep in an air-tight container in the fridge for 3 to 5 days.
