Easy 4 ingredients sesame chicken

I hated sweet and savory recipes for a loooong long time. Then I grew up and here I am, 21 years old and craving this all the time.

I crave pineapple pizzas, caramelized pork, sesame chicken. This is all the rage for me right now. So instead of ordering it at a restaurant, I decided that I would do a sesame chicken all by myself because you know, cheaper. This recipe requires a few ingredients that you probably have in your pantry if you like chinese food.

You could definitely use thighs or whatever chicken cuts you like.
You get that ready in 15-20 minutes for diner, perfect to have time for yourself, your loved ones or whatever you want. Serve it with rice and vegetables (not mandatory at our house I reckon) and bam, ready.

Sesame chicken (serves 2) :

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Vegetable oil
  • Pepper

Fry your cut chicken in some oil in a frying pan until it is cooked and golden, add pepper. Put aside.

In the same pan, add the honey and let it caramelized (it is going to be all bubbly). At that point, add the soy sauce, stir and let it thickens until it has a sirupy texture. Add the sesame seeds, mix, add the chicken and mix until everything is well coated in the sauce.

Done! Serve over warm rice (and add some chili paste/hot sauce if you like).
