Sticky asian glazed chicken bites

Spicy chicken glazed in a sweet and savory sauce just like at the restaurant. Without leaving home and with easily available ingredients (or pantry staples if you like asian cooking)? I LOVE IT.

I went a little hard on the chili, I won’t lie but we do like it really spicy. So if you’re a little sensitive to chili, down the quantities and adjust to your liking. You can also take it out completely but that would be a shame, it balances the flavors really well and makes you want to eat the whole entier plate.

Serve it over rice for an easy meal. Or add some vegetables to make it healthier. You can also put that on the table as an appetizers. It looks great and it tastes even greater. Soy sauce + honey always work good together!

Sticky asian glazed chicken bites (serves 2-3) :

  • 400g chicken breasts
  • 1 or 2 dried chili
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 to 3 stalks of chives
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Slice the chicken breasts into bite size pieces.

Heat a pan with the vegetable oil, cook the chicken for 4 minutes on each side.

Meanwhile, mix in a bowl the following ingredient to make the sauce : rice vinegar, soy sauce, honey and crushed chilis.

Mince finely the chives and set aside.

When the chicken is cooked on both sides, take it out of the pan and set aside.

Add the sauce to the pan and bring it to a boil. Let it boil for 1 to 2 minutes, it will thicken.

Put the chicken back in the pan and stir. Let it cook 2 minutes stirring occasionally to coat the chicken pieces with the sauce.

Turn off the heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chives.

Serve warm over rice.
