Virgin sangria, a cooling summer beverage

Virgin sangria, a cooling summer beverage

Here is a cooling beverage that is a perfect fit for summer, booze free so it is kid friendly too! It is also beautiful, simple to make and you can adapt it to your liking.

I added a few flat peaches, a few apples I had sitting in a bowl in my house. You could also switch it up (or just add) : nectarines, watermelon, pomegranate…etc. Just cut it in small chunks for that it is easier to eat.

I simply replaced white wine with grape juice, the color is similar and the taste delicious. Fill up your ice cube trays and get going, you’ll love it!

Virgin sangria (serves 6):

  • 75cl grape juice
  • 1l orange juice
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 limes
  • 2 flat peaches
  • 2 apples
  • 1,5 to 2l sparkly lemonade

Pour the orange and grape juices into a big bowl. Juice one lemon in and stir.

Slice the remaining lemon and two limes. Cut into small chunks peaches and apples. Add to the bowl.

Let it cool and infuse in the fridge for a couple hours.

Fill a big glass with half the sangria mix and half lemonade.

Add a lot of ice cubes and enjoy!
