Chicken in lemony + creamy sauce

Chicken in lemony + creamy sauce

I know I have a LOT of chicken recipes on the blog guys but we LOVE it and it’s so cheap! It is so versatile, budget friendly, there is nothing you can’t do with chicken. Get it tangy, sweet, sour, crispy…etc. It all works!

So today, I am sharing a delicious chicken recipe with a lemony + creamy sauce. Serve it with white rice + parsley and got yourself a fancy dinner in 20 minutes.

Chicken in lemony + creamy sauce (serves 4) :

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 8cl liquid cream
  • 25cl chicken broth
  • 30g butter
  • Parsley
  • Salt and pepper

In a deep pan, brown the chicken until the skin gets all golden brown, flip it and cook for 10 minutes.

Turn the oven on at 180°C/350°F. Place the chicken in an oven safe dish and cover with foil. Bake for 12 minutes.

In the same pan (don’t wash it) you browned the chicken, add finely sliced onion and garlic. Add butter and sauté for a few minutes.

Add the broth and the lemon juice. Let it cook uncovered for 12 minutes.

With a wooden spoon, scrape the bottom of the pan gently to get all the crispy chicken bits in the sauce.

Turn the heat off, add the cream and mix. Place the chicken back in the pan with the sauce, cook on very low heat for 5 minutes. Don’t boil the sauce!

Garnish with a few parsley leaves and serve over white rice.
