What a joy for my heart to eat such colorful tomatoes! It is as pretty as it is delicious. This salad and little bread, some grilled fish and we’re set for a summer feast. This is such a simple salad I’m just really showing off this shots I’m proud of! A nicely plated tomatoes salad.
My favorite is clearly the green zebra, it is a bit more acidic than other varieties but also has such a subtil taste. What’s your favorite heirloom tomato?
Colorful heirloom tomatoes salad (serves 4):
- 8 colorful tomatoes
- 100g feta cheese
- 2 big shallots
- 4 basil leaves
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper
Slice tomatoes as thin as possible.
Chop the basil really thin.
Chop the shallots.
Put the tomatoes slices like a carpaccio on a plate.
Crumble the feta cheese on top. Add chopped basil and shallots.
Drizzle with olive oil then season with salt and pepper.
Enjoy!
