Mango mojito

Summer = cocktails for me. Last year, I was breastfeeding and didn’t drink a single mojito. My daughter is now weaned and I take advantage of it. Mojitos are so easy to make, I love it. It is really expensive when you drink it in a bar sooooooo, do it yourself!

This is a mango mojito, fancy right ? I made mine with mint leaves I grew on my window and I’m so proud! I had cherry tomatoes too but they didn’t make it that far apparently, sad.
I use club soda instead of just sparkling water because I like my cocktails sweet.

In fact, it is a traditional mojito with mango purée. Basically I took canned mangoes and put it in the blender. But you can use fresh mangoes or mango nectar, it is delicious too.
Make it a mocktail (without alcohol) if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding OR don’t drink alcohol.

Mango mojito (serves 2):

  • 1 can mangoes (400g)
  • 4oz rhum
  • 1 lime
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 12 mint leaves
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Club soda / sparkling water
  • Ice cubes

Drain the mangoes and put it all in the blender, blend until smooth.

In a tall glass, add a pinch of salt, a tsp of salt, 6 mint leaves, the juice of half a lime and with a pestle, crush it all together.

Pour 2oz rhum, half of the mango puree. Stir gently. Add ice cubes and top it with club soda or sparkling water.

Repeat the process for the 2nd glass!

Répétez l’opération pour le deuxième verre.
