Cheese stuffed meatballs with garlic cream sauce

Meatballs stuffed with delicious mozzarella cheese are the perfect addition to a big bowl of pasta or even rolled up in a naan or flatbread for a fancy sandwich.

It is simple and delicious. You can add whatever cheese you like inside : blue cheese, mozzarella, cheddar… Have fun!

Cheese stuffed meatballs with garlic cream sauce (12 meatballs)

  • 500g ground pork
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh mint
  • 50g mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper

Garlic sauce :

  • 125g greek yogurt
  • 5 mint leaves
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/2 juice of a lemon
  • Salt

Mince the garlic and herbs very finely.

Cube the mozzarella cheese.

Add it all to the ground pork and season well.

Mix it with your hands until well combined.

Take a portion of meat, flatten it in the palm of your hand.

Add a cube of cheese in the center, close the meatball and roll it really tight so the cheese won’t escape.

Repeat until 12 meatballs are done.

Fry the meatballs in a frying pan with a little bit of oil for about 6 minutes on each side.

For the sauce, mince the garlic and herbs very finely. Add it to the yogurt with the lemon juice. Season.

Mix well and let it sit for 15 minutes before serving, it will thicken.
