All chocolate banana loaf
This cake is like a banana bread but fudgier, like a chocolate fondant but way more addictive! This recipe is unbelievable, we ate it so fast... I must make a new batch soon because a slice for breakfast makes for a perfect start of the day.
I know you already know but I can't not say it : use ROTTEN bananas guys. Blacks, almost liquid inside ripe. The runnier the better. The flavors are amazing and deep, the texture is even more fudgy. It's amazing.
All chocolate banana loaf :
- 175 grams plain flour
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 90 grams brown sugar
- 115 grams butter
- 2 to 3 overripe bananas
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 60 ml milk
- 200g dark chocolate
Preheat the oven at 150°C/300°F.
Melt the butter and chocolate in a sauce pan.
In a bowl, add the baking powder, flour, sugar and salt.
Mash the bananas with a fork in another bowl. Add eggs, milk and vanilla to the bananas. Mix well.
Make a well in the flour and pour the chocolate mixture and the bananas mixture.
With a spatula, mix carefully until well incorporated but not too much.
Pour the batter in a greased load tin and bake for 30-40 minutes.
Let it cool a bit before taking it off of the tin.
