After a morning out with my daughter, we decided to grab lunch outside just her and I and I've been wanting to try the Kitchen Garden (Lyon 7) for a while, it's close to where we live. It's just near the Halle Tony Garnier. So I booked a table for lunch and we went and tried it out !

The decor is quite simple but it's cute. The restaurant is small, the tables are close to one another but it's not a big deal. The waiter was kind, it's always a plus.

Everything is homemade and there is a lot of vegetarian options. You can also have the plat du jour as take out, if you work near the Halle it's really practical.

I got the lunch offer with starter + main (13,50€) and we shared a dessert from the menu with my little date of the day !

My starter was so so good, a mushroom soup with parsley oil on top. It was delicious. I would've happiky brought a couple bottles of this soup home. It's light and so tasty.

My main was a salmon with a citrus butter, leeks and wheat. It was incredible too, super well balanced and the wheat was a nice change from the usual rice you get with the salmon. The salmon was so beautifully cooked too. This citrus butter sauce, friends... Top notch.

My cute date had a chicken buddha bowl (11€) which is not on the lunch menu, they also offer a vegetarian option.

The bowl is rice, salad, onions, sweet potaotes (hidden somewhere under that lettuce), chicken (obviously) and mango. It's quite generous as you can probably tell. We took the leftovers home because she couldn't eat it all.

We shared this huge tiramisu (6€) for dessert and it was delicious. Creamy, not too moist. A very good tiramisu in my books ! Look at her face here, she's so excited haha. There's always room for dessert, right ?

Everything was delicious and well balanced, priced fairly. The lunch menu is very affordable. It's a cute spot for lunch with a nice menu. Book a table to make sure they have a table for you when you get there !
