Honey and garlic glazed chicken wings

I said we'd jump into summer recipes so this is the embodiement of late night drinks with friends that are hungry! Wings glazed with honey/soy/garlic/ginger. Easy to whip up and soooo good.

Baking powder might sound weird but it really helps getting all the moisture out of the chicken and makes it super crispy. Don't skip that step, it's important!

Honey and garlic glazed chicken wings :

  • 8 chicken wings
  • 60g (1/2 cup) honey
  • 30ml (2 tbsp) soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • Chives
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Use paper towels to dry the chicken wings.

Put it in a glass dish and dust with baking powder and salt. Mix.

Let it rest 10 minutes.

Preheat the oven at 200°C/400°F and put the wings on a baking sheets covered with parchment paper.

Bake for 20-25 minutes. Wings must be crispy and golden.

In a small sauce pan, add soy sauce, honey, garlic and ginger.

Boil it down for 4-5 minutes on low heat, it should be sirupy.

Pour the sauce in a bowl and add the warm wings to it.

Toss it into the sauce until well coated.

Sprinkle with chopped chives.

Serve!
