Smoked trout, dill cream and radishes bagels

The recipe for these delicious homemade bagels is just here! Today I wanted to share a pretty basic but really delicious flavor combo that always does it for me  : smoked trout, dill cream and radishes. With those crunchy outside and fluffy inside bagels, it's real happiness.

Let's talk about the dill cream for a second because it is soooo good. It's easy to make and quick too. You have to let it rest a bit in the fridge though, so it gets a chance to thicken. If you don't it will be very runny and messy in the bagels. You can replace the smoked trout with salmon or even meat if fish isn't your thing!

Smoked trout, dill cream and radishes bagels (serves 4) :

  • 4 bagels
  • 4 slices of smoked trout
  • 20cl full fat sour cream
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/2 dill bunch
  • 12 radishes
  • Salt and pepper

Prep the dill cream at least an hour before assembling the bagels.

To make the dill cream, mix sour cream, grated garlic, lemon juice and minced dill in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Let it sit in the fridge for at least an hour.

Slice the radishes thinely.  

Cut the bagels in half.

Spread a generous layer of dill cream on one side of the bagel.

Add the smoked trout on top and sprinkle with a lot of radishes.

Put the bagel back together and enjoy!
