Pineapple glazed pork chops

Pineapple glazed pork chops

I found this recipe on The life jolie's website, we tried it and really loved it! So here it is, with a few twists and adjustments. It's the perfect recipe to make for a little family potluck, it's so good. Grilled pork chops, a delicious pineapple glaze and grilled pineapple. A real winner.

The sauce/glaze really takes it to a whole other level of deliciousness. The marinated pork chops are so tenderrrr, no more dry pork chops PLEASE. EVER. These ones are the real MVP, I'm telling you.

Pineapple glazed pork chops (serves 4)  :

  • 4 pork chops
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 can of pineapple rings (+ 1/2 cup of the juice)
  • 2 tbsp corn starch
  • Chives

Prep the marinade by mixing in a deep baking dish : soy sauce, water, sesame seeds, brown sugar, ginger, pressed garlic, ketchup and pineapple juice.

Put the pork chops in the marinade and let it sit overnight for extra tender pork chops.

Grill the pork chops for 5-6 minutes on each side, grill pineapple rinds until golden and caramelized.

Let the meat rest for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, whisk cornstarch into the marinade and bring it to a boil for a few minutes until it thickens into a syrupy glaze.

Drizzle the meat with the sauce and add pineapple rinds.

Sprinkle with chopped chives and serve!
