Garlic knots

Garlic knots

Let me tell you all about these marvelous little things right here... Garlic knots. Basically garlic bread but fancier because shaped into knots. Perfect side for soups or saucy dishes. Buttery, soft and pillowy inside, addictive.

You could make them in buns form but these are so much cuterrrr. I added a bit of parsley for taste and color. You could also add cheese! Vous pouvez très bien les faire tout ronds mais ils sont tellement plus mignons comme ça. J'ai mis un petit peu de persil pour le goût et la couleur. On peut aussi mettre un peu de fromage!

Garlic knots (8 pieces) :

  • 300g (2 cups) flour
  • 180ml (3/4 cup) lukewarm water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 4g yeast
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 50g (1/3 stick) salted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • Parsley

In a big bowl, add flour, sugar, salt and yeast.

Add olive oil and warm water. Mix and knead until the dough is not sticky anymore.

Put the dough in a clean bowl and let it rest for an hour and a half.

Preheat the oven at 180°C/350°F.

Cut the dough into 8 equal pieces.

Roll each piece of dough out and knot it. Put it on a parchment covered sheet pan.

Bake for 20 minutes.

Take the knots out of the oven.

Melt the butter on low heat and add minced garlic. Turn the heat off and let it infuse a few minutes.

Brush the butter onto the knots. Add parsley.

Serve!
