Peanut coated goat cheese balls

Peanut coated goat cheese balls

It took me a long time to put this recipe on the blog, it's a super simple one but holidays got in the way and here we are. Mid-august, I'm finally sharing this recipe for peanut coated goat cheese balls with a surprise pea inside for even more fun.

I had made this recipe for a special appetizers cooking challenge on  Twitch, I might as well share it here. It's a super fresh appetizer, the peanuts bring saltiness and a good crunch, lovely.

Peanut coat goat cheese balls (makes 10-12) :

  • 1 fresh goat cheese
  • 10-12 green peas
  • 1 handful roasted and salted peanuts
  • 10 chives
  • Salt and pepper

Cook the peas 15 minutes in boiling water, cool them in ice cold water.

Put the goat cheese in a bowl, season with salt and pepper. Chop the chives finely and add it to the bowl. Mix well.

In a food processor or blender, add the peanuts and blend until you reach a coarse powder texture.

Take a tablespoon of the cheese mix in your hand, add a pea in the center, shape into a ball.

Roll the ball into the peanut powder. Repeat until you run out of ingredients.

Refrigerate at least 15 minutes before serving.
