Caramelized green beans and bacon bundles

It's the holidays so here is a recipe you can easily make with your kids : caramelized green beans and bacon bundles.

It's very easy to make, you put the beans onto the bacon and you roll it, brush it with a butter + sugar mixture and bake so it will caramelize and crisp up. Very addictive and not time consuming at all !

Caramelized green beans and bacon bundles (10 pieces) :

  • 400g green beans (fresh or frozen)
  • 10 slices of thin cut bacon
  • 20g butter
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Blanch the green beans in a pot of boiling water for 3 minutes. Rinse them under cold water for a few seconds to cool them down.

Preheat the oven at 160°C/320°F.

Lay a slice of bacon on your work surface.

Add about a dozen green beans on top and roll the bacon tightly around it.

Put the bundles on a parchment paper covered baking sheet, fold side down so it stays in place.

Melt butter and sugar in a small pan.

Brush the bacon with the sugar and butter mixture.

Bake for 10-12 minutes until the bacon is crispy and browned.

Serve !
