Perfect raspberry and apple sauce

Perfect raspberry and apple sauce

You probably don't need a recipe to make this because it's so simple! But this apple to raspberry ratio is perfect, resulting in a delicious naturally sweet sauce, a bit sour and super smooth. Just how I like it!

I don't add sugar here, I used fuji apples, they're naturally quite sweet and it made this apple sauce super well balanced. You can taste it and add sugar to taste later.

You can also keep the cooking liquid, reduce it into a syrup and add it to your yogurts, porridge or homemade cocktail!

Perfect raspberry and apple sauce (serves 1-2) :

  • 2 fuji apples
  • 100g fresh raspberries
  • 10cl water

Peel and core the apples. Chop into cubes.

Wash the raspberries.

Put the apples and raspberries into a pot with 10cl of water.

Cover and let it simmer for 12-15 minutes or until apples are soft.

Drain the fruit through a colander (or a thin strainer if raspberries seeds are bothering you) and put the cooked fruits into a blender.

Blend until smooth.

Let it cool and enjoy!
