Beef and green beans stir fry
A very quick and easy meal made in about 20 minutes, delicious and healthy too. Beef, green beans and a delicious sesame flavor. Of course, I serve it with a side of rice because rice is life.
If you want it to be even quicker, you could marinate the meat the day before. And add chili too!
Beef and green beans stir fry (serves 3-4) :
- 2 skirt steaks
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 shallots
- 1 tbsp nuoc mam sauce (fish sauce)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 300g green beans (fresh or frozen)
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- Fresh cilantro
Slice the beef as thinly as possible. Marinate it in 1/2 tbsp sesame oil and a tbsp soy sauce for at least 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, mince the shallots and garlic thinly.
If you don't like crunchy green beans, blanch them in boiling water for a minute. If you don't mind, skip this step!
Heat a pan (or a wok) with 1/2 tbsp of sesame oil.
Brown the meat for a few seconds in the pan then set it aside.
Add garlic, shallots and green beans. Fry on medium heat for 5 minutes, while stirring. Add a tbsp of soy sauce and nuoc mam.
Put the meat back in the pan, add sesame seeds and reheat for a minute or two.
Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve!
