Yakitori style duck skewers

Here's a different way to cook your duck! With a very easy to make yakitori sauce, cooking takes 5 minutes and if you serve it with rice and veggies, you get a delicious meal.

Yakitori style duck skewers (serves 2) :

  • 6 duck strips
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2cm ginger
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • Sesame seeds

Prep the marinade by mixing together the soy sauce, grated garlic and ginger, honey, sesame oil and vinegar.  

Put the duck strips into the marinade and let it sit for 15-20 minutes or overnight.

Skewer the duck strips.

Heat a pan on medium heat and cook the skewers 2 minutes on each side.

Pour the marinade on top and let it thickens for 30 seconds.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve!
