Gnocchi in tomato sauce and creamy burrata

Gnocchi in tomato sauce and creamy burrata

Here is a recipe for gnocchi in tomato sauce and creamy burrata, they're so so good. The burrata gives it the finishing touch that brings the whole dish together. It's a vegetarian dish that requires less than 30 minutes to make, I'm sure you'll love it !

For this recipe, you make everything into the same pan and serve it on the dinner table. I use a Tefal with removing handle, they're so convenient and you can stack them in the cupboard, saves you some space.

For the burrata, I love it when it's truffled inside but you can use a plain burrata. It's adding creaminess to the dish so it's even more decadent and delicious.

My goal for August on the blog is to share more and more vegetarian content since it's what you guys are asking for. Delicious vegetarian recipes that will make you all drool, no matter how much you love meat. I do love meat myself and I'll still share meat recipes. Balance is key. I'm also working on a bigger project on this theme... But more to come in September !

  • 30 cl tomato sauce
  • 5 cl liquid cream
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan
  • 15 basil leaves
  • 1 burrata (truffled or not)
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme
  • Butter
  • Salt and pepper

Mince the garlic.

Melt a generous knob of butter in a pan.

Put the gnocchi and garlic into the pan, stir fry them until golden brown.

Add the tomato sauce, thyme, salt and pepper. Add a touch of water if needed.

Cover and let it simmer on low for 10-15 minutes.

Meanwhile, chop 8 basil leaves.

After the tomato sauce has simmered for 15 minutes, add the chopped basil, cream and parmesan to the pan. Mix well.

Turn the heat off, add the truffled burrata and remaining basil leaves on top of the gnocchi.

Put the pan on the dinner table and you're done.
