Winter spiced hot chocolate

What is your favorite comfort drink for winter? I always had a thing for a good hot chocolate! I made a dairy version but make it dairy free by adding almond milk and omit the sour cream. This hot chocolate is creamy and thick, so comforting and not too sweet.

Homemade almond powder

Almonds are far from being a cheap product and almond powder is even worse for the budget! But it is delicious in dessert… I love frangipane!

Thai chicken and coconut milk soup

This soup is a wonder for the upcoming winter. It is soothing with the coconut milk but spicy with the chili, heating and soothing just what I need after a day in the cold. The chicken gets poached in the broth so it is tender and full of flavors. I just love this recipe!

Jalapeños, cheddar and bacon bread

Flavored breads are absolutely perfect for a light dinner served with a salad or for a quick lunch on the go! It can be eaten warm or chilled. I made this one with jalapeños, cheddar and bacon. I really liked this flavor combo!

Homemade chocolate and peanuts granola bars

Afternoon snacks are not only for kids in the household! Mama’s working hard and need some fuel comes 4pm. A big cup of tea and a little snack. It is so easy to grab store bought granola bars or cookies from a drawer but I always try to do a homemade treat.
